Jaime Black has been in the broadcast and media industries since the late ‘90s, when he landed his first internship in the radio industry at 15 years old. That opportunity led to a thirteen year career as a producer at Chicago’s legendary Q101 radio.
In 2005, Black launched Dynasty Podcasts, the first ever and longest-running music podcast in Chicago’s history. Since that time, Dynasty Podcasts has produced upwards of 1,000 episodes, featuring interviews with Chicago’s premier artists and industry. Past guests include Chance The Rapper, The Smashing Pumpkins, Fall Out Boy, and hundreds more.
In 2012, Dynasty Podcasts launched its long-running Panelcast industry chat series. Past panel events have included speakers from Google, LinkedIn, Twitter, Spotify, Lollapalooza, and more.
In 2015, Dynasty Podcasts launched its Dynasty Academy class series, including the long-running Podcasting 101 workshop. The workshop, which teaches the fundamentals of podcast recording, producing, and publishing, has over 150 five star reviews from past attendees.
In 2018, Dynasty Podcasts opened Dynasty Studio, a podcast studio available to rent by the hour. Sponsored by Shure Microphones, studio sessions are engineered by Jaime Black.
In 2020, Dynasty Podcasts celebrates 15 years as the first ever and longest-running music podcast in Chicago’s history.
